Jocelyn Bastida was born on Decemer 13, 1992, and raised in San Diego California. A place of opportunities and lots of help for several immigrants in need. Jocelyn’s mom was one of the immigrants that crossed El Rio Grande to give her children a better future and more than one option in life. Jocelyn is the fifth child of sixth kids. Jocelyn has three brothers and three sisters including her. Though you would expect the youngest child to be the baby of the family, which never worked out in Jocelyn’s childhood memories. Her real dad had left my mom once my mom crossed to San Diego, he decide to stay in Mexico. So that is when her step dad stepped up to the plate to take care of her baby sister when her mom found out she was expecting a baby. My stepdad became my real dad and pamper Jocelyn more than his own real daughter. There was always way more childhood pictures of me with my ‘’dad’’ then of any of her brothers and sisters in her family album.
Jocelyn’s three older siblings were born in Mexico. Jaime, Christian, and Carmen. All three of her older siblings were born in Guymas Sonora. Once Jocelyn’s mom crossed the border she had Jacinto the baby from the boys, Jocelyn who is second to last, and Petra the baby from the girls. Even though Jocelyn’s brothers and sisters have different dads except for her three older siblings’ they all have the same dad. Even though Jocelyn’s brothers and sisters have separate dad’s her stepdad’s love all six of them the same way. As Jocelyn and her brothers and sisters grew up Jaime her older brother had four, kid’s three boys and one girl. Christian the second oldest had one boy who is currently almost finish with high school. Carmen had three girls and one boy. All four of her kids graduated from high school and went on to college and two of them are cops and the other two are 1st grade teachers at Sherman Elementary. Jocelyn’s little sister Petra had twins one day before prom so she graduated from Lindsey summit on the year of 2012. A s for Jocelyn she went to law school for seven years and became a judge in the downtown superior court building. Her son Malcolm JR. graduated from Lindsey Summit on the year of 2020 he actually finished a year earlier and is now enrolled in City College to be a doctor.
