Should Mammals be kept in Captivity?

I believe that Mammals shouldn't be kept in captivity. The reasons why are because Mammals need to bond with their family in the ocean(pods),they perform tricks that are exagerated variations of their natural behaviors, and in the wild dolphins are predators and at Sea World they are given food for a reward.
Mammals need to be in their natural habitat so they can bond with their families and learn to protect eachother from any other dangerous mammals in the ocean. Mammals shouldn't be kept in captivity because thee human interaction in captivity increases the risk of transmitting diseases to the animals.
Mammals perform tricks that can be dangerous to us humans and are out of their natural life in the ocean. The best way to learn about these mammals is observe them in their natural habitat instead of learning about them in captivity because they can become dangerous to humans when they interact with eachother.
Wild dolphins are being treated in an incorrect way. The reason why is because Dolphins are use to hunting for their food in the ocean and they are loosing their predatory sence. They are in a small tank, wich means that they don't have much freedom to swim around. These dolphins are being fed popcorn, french fries, breadby guest wich can cause instential injuries, poisoning and even death.
I believe that animals should not be held in captivity now and in the future. I know that for a fact no human being would like to be in a cage all day. Perhaps maybe only have an hour to swin around and be free because the mammal is doing a show and putting money in a persons pocket who obviously is not one-hundred percent ok and smart in regards to let animals be free and not captivity.

Science Blood type

1. The four blood types are:Group A blood has only the A antigen, Group B has the only the B antigen,Group AB has both, and Group O has neither.

2.Group O is the most common blood type.

3. When you have blood type B it means that you can donate red blood cells to B's and AB's.
When you have blood type O you can donate red blood cells to anybody regardless of the blood type that they have. Its the universal blood type.

4.Blood type o is considered the universal recipient. Meaning that you can donate your blood to different blood types.

5.Blood type O is considered the universal recipient. This means that you can receive any blood type.

6.47% OF African Americans have blood type 0.

7.The blood type with AB- and 0.2% are the Hispanics.

8.This question is true. your blood type is genetically passed from parents to children.

9.The two possible blood types of their children are 0, and B.

10. The possible blood types the child may have are:0,A,B,and,AB.

11. When you are RH negative, your health care provider will likely give you an RH immune globulin injection at about 28 weeks into your first pregnancy. When you are RH positive the immune globulin blocks your bloody recognition on Rh positive cells.

12. It's a problem when you have a positive blood type and your baby has a negative because the blood may mix and can hurt your baby in any damaging way.

Reflection On DV Rally

1.Two things that I learned at the DV Rally were that no matter how young you are that still doesn't give your partner the right to be aggressive and disrespectful towards you. The second point that I learned was that how can you tell when a person is a victim of Domestic Violence is when they are being forced to be isolated from their loved ones.
2.My favorite booth was when we read a pledge that made a very important point that you agree to always respect and cherish your partner. The reason why it was my favorite booth was because its very true to always respect, love, and cherish your partner oh and plus we received free shirts.
3. I would include more activities that us teenagers can be involved in and participate but still understand the important points of Domestic Violence.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
I believe that Isolation/Exclusion.Isolation and Exclusion is when either one of the partners are controlling what other does, who he/she reads, see's, and talks to.Where he/she goes, limiting outside involvement, and using jealousy to justify actions. This abuse will most likely happen because lets say one of the partners may be cheating and for them to cover up infidelity they will blame the significant other of cheating. I haven't had any of this type of violence thankfully. The only advice i think i am in power to give anybody is that if you have that feeling in you and you are positive that he been doing you wrong then just let him go.

The Supremacy Clause-Study questions

1.Thomas Jefferson promised to not take anything from the Indians but Andrew Jackson took over the supreme court and allowed the Georgians to take everything from the Indians.

2.The Cherokee tribe became acculturated to European culture by adopting to the U.S. government, becoming Christians, and sending their children to boarding schools. They also dressed like the whites, and learned to speak their language.

3.By 1932 Native Americans lost 90 million acres of their land which was 2/3 of the land that was reserved through laws. The Dawes Act caused much of the loss because Native Americans did not move to the allotments and the allotments were leased to non-Indians which are whites, causing all the loss of land.

4.Chief Joseph was the head Chief of the tribe, he was upset in 1855 because the gold was discovered. He fought with federal troops. He was superior Military Tactics. Captain Jack was asked to leave their home land and Captain Jack fought against everyone for his land.

5.The Supremacy Clause is that they wanted their land. The white people wouldn't want to give them nothing. Andrew Jackson took away the land and resources oil and crops.

6.I think that well actually know that I would refuse to leave because I know my rights and I know theirs laws that protect those rights, which are my rights.

Music Therapy

To Whom It May Concern,
Hi my name is Jocelyn Bastida a student at Lindsey Community Day School and mother of a child in music therapy. I wanted to let you know how important and great Music therapy is to my son and I. I think music class exist for the babies and their mommies for both to have a fun way of bonding.I have learned a new way to get my sons attention and to get him calm in a smoothing type of way of music.I use music with my son when his play time is over, we sing a clean up song and also when hes taking a bath.I feel very happy and exciting during music class because I'm eager to see what new sign language my son will learn that day.My favorite part of music class is when my son is learning different ways to say thank you, and learn new ways to be more social with the other kids.My son does a variety of sign language at home that he has learned in music therapy. What i have observed is great he knows much more manners and he is able to communicate with me with signs and words.Music Therapy has affected my relation with my son for the better. We sing songs together and share smiles from the moment that he wakes up in the morning till he goes to sleep at night.I believe music therapy is an experience for mommies and their babies worth while.Music Therapy has and still is improving my child's language development. He is able to use many new words in his vocabulary.I would recommend music therapy to a friend that is a parent for the first time and loves to enjoy time with their baby. Thank you for taking your time to read my letter.
Sincerely, Jocelyn and Malcolm Turley.

My Education My Future Obama's Speech

  1. The words that resonated to me from Obama's speech was that he said that if we give up we won't just give up on us we will give up on our country too. The line that I remember was that ''Nobody is born being good at everything."
  2. The three most important words in Obamas speech were:education, commit, and responsibility. I believe these words mean to dedicate and promise to never give up in life and to pursue your dreams.
  3. Obama is inspiring me to not give up on any of dreams and to especially not give up on myself. He is challenging to finish highschool, and to go onto college and work hard for a college degree.
  4. The quote that obama said means a lot to me and my life. It means that nobody can plan my future do to all my actions im the only one that can make sure my future is what I wish for.
  5. Right now what I have contribute to my country is that I haven't gave up on myself and my country to quit my education, even tought I have a baby im still going to school and trying to get my high school diploma.

Words Alive Discussion (A Piece Of Cake)

I would recommend A Piece Of Cake to teen girls that have made mistakes in the past and may think that its to late to turn their life around for the better. I think that the perfect time for girls to read this book is when they may be going trough a tough stage in their life and may need to relate to somebody so they can understand that their is a light at the end of the tunnel. I really admire Cupcake for being brave and keep going with her life and didnt give up on herself after having to face a veriaty of negative people that wanted her to fail in life. I would read this book again , and again, and again because it's an intresting story and just how i learned from the dtory the fierst time i read it, i may learn a couple more things after i read it a second time.

Questions For Words Alive

  1. If you were to be in Cupcakes situation would you have made the same decisions she made?
  2. Whose your favorite subordinate character in the story, and why?
  3. Do you think that everything that Cupcake wrote in the book is true?
  4. Are you able to relate to Cupcakes drug use?
  5. Do you believe that if Cupcakes mom wouldn't have died, Cupcakes wouldn't have suffered a lot?

Reasponding to Cupcakes Memoir

  1. I think Cupcakes motivation was to prove people wronge. All the negative comments that people said to her, to make her feel worthless and put her down because they didn't have anything better to do then to hate on people that are trying to ccomplish something in life.

  2. I think she believes that she is letting girls know that no matter what has happend in your past, and what mistakes you've made you are always capable of making important decisions for your future and a better tommorow.

  3. I think Cupcake was just trying to tell her life story.

Manifest Destiny And Ethnocentrism

Manifest Destiny and Ethnocentrism
  1. There were different types of tribes, languages, habitats, dress code, skin tones, diet depending on location, and different beliefs about God where you come from.
  2. The Native Americans shared land, furs, planting techniques and food such as corn, beans, and squash.
  3. For the Europeans it was common to buy and sell land, and could be own by a person with a legal document such as a title.
  4. Whites believed that God wanted them to own/ control all of the land from coast to coast regardless of what the other cultures believed in or wanted.
  5. I think the American history would've been different if Philip or Tecumseh had no private property, no imperialism toward tribes, and different languages.

Geisha Make Up

Geisha Make-Up

  • The origins of white face make-up in Japanese culture is largely disputed. It has been said that in the middle ages, the white make-up was discovered when a Japanese traveler returned from Europe with stories of "pale faced" beauties. Which this sounds pausable, it is also been said that it originated from China and was adopted by the ladies of the Japanese court. Considering that the use of white make-up in Japanese history can be dated back as early as the Heian Era (794-1185 AD), a time when Japan was largely influence by the Chinese culture.

The way you apply Geisha make up is:
  • First the wax or oil substance, called bintsuke-abura, is applied to the skin.
  • Next the white powder is mixed with water into a paste and applied to the skin. The white powder is applied with a bamboo brush starting from the neck and working upwards.
  • The white make up covers the face, neck, and chest with a two or three whitened areas forming a w or a v shape, usually a traditional w shape left on the nape, to accentuate this traditionally erotic area and a line of the bare skin around the hairline, which creates the illusion of a mask.
  • After the foundation layers is applied, a sponge is patted all over the face, throat, chest the nape and neck to excess Moister and to blend the foundation. Next the eyes and eyebrows are drawn in.
  • The eyebrows and edges are colored black with a little bit of red. Traditionally they could have used charcoal, to darken them but today the cosmetics is more likely to be modern in their places.
  • Last but definitely not least are a her lips. The lips are filled in using a small brush. For their first year, Maiko paint only a little bit of colour on her center lower lip. This appears to originally originate from the fact that in Japanese history very small lips where once considered sensual and attractive.
  • After their first year, Maiko start to colour their top lip, but never filling in the entire lip. When they become geisha, they continue to paint their lips smaller but eventually over time as her make-up becomes more clear and distinct, she starts to paint in her full lips.

History
Obama’s Educational Plan

In Obama’s State Of Union speech he mentioned several components for his educational plan. One of the components he mentioned that ¾ of jobs require college education and that less than ½ of Americans don’t have college education. In the U. S., we have the highest high school drop-out rate, and we also have ½ of college student’s drop-out rate. I believe that the reason for students to drop out of high school and college is because for college students may not afford the college tuition and for high school many students need the one on one education from the teacher but not all students can receive that help. It is important to know that there have been a lot of teacher’s layoffs and it does’t help. What Obama has accomplished to improve the education crisis is that he has expanded early childhood education, make college affordable, and prevent more teacher layoffs. I think that it’s great that he is expanding early childhood education because that way my son will receive the education that he needs to be able to succeed in life and be able to pursue his dreams in future. One last promise that Obama made the U. S. that he will stop wasting so much money in Iraq and that he will have comprehensive health care for the U. S. I honestly believe that Obama will accomplish all of his goals in the best interest of the citizens in the U. S.

In this review i will be talking about a book by the name of PUSH by:a person named Sapphire.

The setting of this book takes place in New York. The main character is a gurl by the name of Precious Jones. When i starded reading this book i enjoyed reading it everyday. Unfortionetly we starded reading more and more and we figured out that Precious was being molested by both of her parents and that she ended up getting pregnant by her father twice.

I honestly do not understand how can a parent disrespecttheir child so much b raping him or her. So my opinion about this book is discusting i do not like this book. I think a person it doesn't matter who it is nobody should ever have a right to rape somebody.

Butterfly Fish

A
butterfly fish is a bony fish. Butterfly fish eat anemones wich are type of coral. Some butterfly fish owners feed their butterfly fish crickets. A variety of fish breath through their gills. Butterfly fish reproduce by two adult butterfly fish mate by linking themselves togethere from the abdomens or tail to tail. The male links onto the female living behind a sperm sack that fertilizes the female eggs.
